Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do within EAE Solutions.
My name is Hokan Thorén and I am Business Development Manager Intralogistics at ESO. This means I do everything needed to develop and increase our Intralogistics business. It includes Sales, Consultative Selling, Bid Management, Project Management, Marketing, Relationship Management and After Sales. Our Target is a steady stable, but significant growth, keeping our high quality in project execution and After Sales.
How did you first get acquainted with EAE Solutions?
When I looked for a new job opportunity, I got to know of ESO via my German network that I have after operating in the business more than 25 years. Being an electrical, SW and mechanical engineer at heart and at the same time having broad experience in Sales and Project Business in Intralogistics, I found the activities at ESO very exciting. The skills and experiences within EAE and ESO impressed me from the beginning, this together with the agility and flexibility of a smaller company, for which I have worked before.
What is your biggest achievement in the last 3 months at EAE Solutions?
I have successfully managed a very complex project for an important customer in France. This has led to further business with the same integrator and end customer. In addition we have just won a big project in Germany where I have contributed a lot, both with my knowledge of the customer and of the ESO skills and capabilities I have gathered during my first year here.
Why, in your opinion, is EAE Solutions the best partner for customers?
ESO has long experience in real time complex controls from the printing industry. Since several years this is now also used for complex real time controls of sorting and warehousing systems. The requirements are similar: high performance, complex algorithms and high reliability. The system runs in the core of the customer’s production and cannot fail. We at ESO have long experience with this and together with the knowledge we gathered in the Intralogistics (processes, systems, solutions) we are able to consult our customer to get the best value for money. And we provide lifetime support on the delivered product which can be 20 or even 30 years.
What do you love to do in your spare time?
I like sports, I am a passionate badminton player and do downhill skiing. I also do some other sports to keep fit.
I have 2 grown up sons at the Lake of Constance. I try to visit them often and also a friend I know from my years of living there. The same goes for my relatives and old friends in Sweden (where I come from).
