Fashion giant Boohoo will open a new sorting centre in Sheffield (UK). The warehouse is 336.000ft2. A major project of which the complete coordination was awarded to system integrator SSI Schäfer. Interroll and EAE Solutions partnered up for the supply of respectively the mechanical sorter system and its controls system. SSI Schäfer worked with EAE Solutions and Interroll in earlier projects in the UK and Poland for major fashion retailers.

The EAE Flow.Control system will control 13 crossloader infeeds, 2 top-reader barcode scanner stations and 100 sorter destinations with container detection, full detection, and LED signaling. Also 8 conveyor chutes and telescopic conveyors are controlled by the EAE Flow.Controls system.
